Will it break my HTML or my blocks?
No. Content Polisher never rewrites markup: it edits the text between tags and keeps every other byte exactly as it was. Edited blocks are checked so they stay valid. See What is never changed.
Is my content sent anywhere?
No. Scans and fixes run entirely on your server. Only Pro's optional AI proofreading sends text — to the provider you choose, with your own key, after you confirm.
Do I need an account or a license?
No. The free plugin works without an account, a license or an API key. A license is only needed for Pro.
Are there limits in the free version?
No. Scan any number of posts, keep the full history and undo any change.
Who can use it?
Users who can edit other users' posts (Editors and Administrators). Each change also requires permission to edit that specific post. Settings require manage_options.
Does it work with page builders?
Gutenberg, the Classic editor, Divi and WPBakery are supported. Pages built with Elementor, Beaver Builder, SiteOrigin, Brizy, Oxygen, Bricks or Thrive Architect store their content elsewhere and are skipped.
Does it work on multisite?
Yes. It can be activated per site or network-wide; each site has its own settings, scans and history.
Which languages are supported?
Content rules for English, French, Ukrainian and Russian; language-independent rules work for any language. The interface is in the same four languages. See Multilingual sites.
Does it slow down my site?
No. Nothing runs on the front end. Scans run only when you start them, in small batches in the admin.
What is Freemius and why does it ask me to opt in?
Freemius handles Pro licenses and payments. After activation it asks whether you want security and feature notifications and to share basic diagnostic data. Click Skip and nothing is sent; the plugin works the same. Post content is never sent to Freemius.

Do I need to keep the free plugin?
Yes. Pro is an add-on that extends Content Polisher. If Content Polisher is inactive, Pro does nothing and shows a notice.
Does it work with Secure Custom Fields and ACF PRO?
Yes — Advanced Custom Fields (free or PRO) and Secure Custom Fields. See ACF fields.
How much does AI proofreading cost?
The AI provider bills you directly for your own API key — usually a few cents per post or less. Unchanged posts are cached, and a daily limit protects you from surprises.
What happens when my license expires?
Pro keeps working; updates stop until you renew. See License and updates.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days if Pro does not work for you and we cannot fix the problem. See the refund policy.
