This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit contentpolisher.com, buy Content Polisher Pro or use the Content Polisher plugins. The data controller is Denis Kanibolotskiy, reachable at support@contentpolisher.com.

This website

  • No cookies, no analytics, no tracking. The site does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising scripts.
  • Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Checkout. When you click Buy Pro or start a free trial, the Freemius checkout loads from checkout.freemius.com and may set its own cookies; see below.

Purchases (Content Polisher Pro)

Orders are processed by Freemius, Inc., which acts as the reseller and merchant of record. Freemius collects your name, e-mail address, billing details and payment information to process the payment, calculate taxes, issue invoices and manage your license. Card details are handled by Freemius' payment processors and are never visible to us. We receive your name, e-mail address, the license and the sites it is activated on, to provide the product and support. See the Freemius privacy policy.

The Content Polisher plugins

  • Your content stays on your site. Scans, fixes, history and backups are stored in your own WordPress database. We never receive your content.
  • Freemius opt-in. After activation, the plugin asks whether you want to opt in to security and feature notifications and share basic diagnostic data with Freemius (site URL, WordPress, PHP and plugin versions, active plugins and theme, admin name and e-mail). Nothing is sent if you click Skip. Post content is never sent. You can change your choice at any time from the plugins list or the Account page.
  • Pro license. Activating a Pro license sends the site URL and license details to Freemius to validate the license and deliver updates.
  • AI proofreading (Pro, optional). When you click Proofread with AI and confirm, the visible text of the selected post and its enabled fields is sent from your server directly to the AI provider you configured (Anthropic or OpenAI), using your own API key. We never receive this text or your key. The provider's terms and privacy policy apply.

E-mail

If you write to us, we use your e-mail address and message only to answer you and keep the correspondence as long as needed for support.

Legal bases and retention

We process data to perform the contract with you (licenses, updates, support), to meet legal obligations (tax records, kept by Freemius as merchant of record) and, for the optional Freemius opt-in, with your consent. Data is kept for as long as your account or license exists, and afterwards only as long as required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing and to withdraw consent. Write to support@contentpolisher.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
