Terms

Last updated: October 9, 2026

These terms apply to the Content Polisher plugin, the Content Polisher Pro add-on and licenses for it. Content Polisher is developed by Denis Kanibolotskiy ("we"). By buying a license you agree to these terms.

1. Software license

Content Polisher and Content Polisher Pro are released under the GNU General Public License v2 or later. The GPL governs your rights to use, study, modify and share the code.

2. Pro license

  • A Pro license gives you access to Content Polisher Pro downloads, automatic updates and support for the paid period, on the number of sites of your plan (1, 5 or 25). Local development sites (localhost) do not count toward the limit.
  • You may move a license between sites by deactivating it on one site and activating it on another.
  • When the license expires or is cancelled, the add-on keeps working on your sites; updates and support stop until you renew.

3. Payments, renewals and taxes

  • Orders are processed by Freemius, Inc. as reseller and merchant of record; the Freemius terms also apply to the purchase. Prices are in USD; applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.
  • Licenses renew automatically every year at the price shown at purchase unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from Content Polisher → Account or your Freemius account.
  • Free trials last 14 days. You are charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
  • Refunds are covered by the refund policy.

4. AI proofreading

AI proofreading uses an account and API key you hold with a third-party provider (Anthropic or OpenAI). You are responsible for that account, its costs and its terms. AI suggestions may be wrong; they are never applied without your review.

5. Support

Support for licensed users is provided by e-mail at support@contentpolisher.com on a reasonable-effort basis. Support covers using the plugin as documented; it does not include custom development or fixing third-party code.

6. Your content and backups

Content Polisher backs up content before changing it and lets you undo changes. You remain responsible for your site and for keeping your own regular backups.

7. No warranty and limitation of liability

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, as stated in the GPL. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages or lost data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; the new version is published on this page with a new date and applies to purchases and renewals after that date.
